Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Urumqi
Meet the scheduled pickup after your flight or train arrival and transfer to the confirmed hotel. Keep sightseeing optional: airport formalities, traffic and check-in can make a tightly planned first evening unreliable.
Day 2: Urumqi to Sayram Lake
Travel west from Urumqi to Sayram Lake. The source schedule estimates about 580 km and seven hours of driving before stops. Use the first lake entry for the operating visitor route and an overnight in the Sayram Lake area. This is a long transfer day, not a full lake circuit.
Day 3: Sayram Lake Circuit, Guozigou and Yining
Use the wider Sayram Lake circuit when current scenic-area vehicle access is operating, then continue through Guozigou toward Yining. A lavender-field stop is possible only during the verified flowering period. End with independent time near Liuxing Street if the arrival time supports it.
Day 4: Seasonal Yizhao Road and Xiata Valley
Travel toward Xiata Valley for mountain views and the operating trail or shuttle routes. When the Yizhao Road is officially open and safe, it may be used for the approach; otherwise the operator uses the practical alternate highway route. The source schedule is a long day, so do not promise a deep glacier hike. Continue to Tekes for the night.
Day 5: Tekes to Qiongkushitai
Enter Qiongkushitai for mountain village scenery, pasture views and short riverside or village walks on open routes. Stay in the confirmed local guesthouse or equivalent. Remote-village room standards, hot water, Wi-Fi and luggage handling may be simpler than in Urumqi or Yining, and the final proposal must state the confirmed property.
Day 6: Qiongkushitai, Kurdining and Nalati
Leave Qiongkushitai and travel toward Kurdining for Tianshan spruce forest, stream scenery and short walks on open paths. Scenic-area vehicle access may be replaced by the operating shuttle plan. Continue to the Nalati area for the night.
Day 7: Nalati Sky Grassland and Tangbula
Explore the Nalati routes operating that day, which may include the Sky Grassland, valley grassland or Panlong Valley corridor. Cableway use, horse riding, photography and cultural activities are optional unless specifically included in the final proposal. Continue to Tangbula for the confirmed local stay when the route and weather permit.
Day 8: Tangbula and the Seasonal Duku Road Return
When the northern Duku Road is officially open and safe, return to Urumqi through Tangbula and the mountain corridor. If it is closed, the operator may reorder the Nalati and Tangbula nights, use the G218 and Tianshan Shengli Tunnel route, or coordinate an Yining rail connection. The confirmed contingency and any additional ticket cost must appear in the final quote.
Day 9: Depart Urumqi
Transfer for the confirmed flight or train. Urumqi airport security and traffic require a generous buffer, so do not plan fixed sightseeing on departure day.
