Day 2: Urumqi to the Sayram Lake area
Travel west through the Tianshan corridor to the Sayram Lake area. The exact driving plan is set around road conditions and the confirmed accommodation, with time reserved for the lake landscape rather than a rushed late stop.
Day 3: Sayram Lake, Yining and the Ili Valley
Explore the accessible Sayram Lake route and continue through the Ili Valley toward Yining. Seasonal flower fields are never guaranteed; the focus is the lake, valley scenery and a walkable evening in Yining when timing allows.
Day 4: Yining to Xiata Valley and Tekes
Travel toward Xiata Valley using the route that is safely open on the date. Use scenic-area transport and walking paths that are operating, then continue to the Tekes area. This is a substantial driving day, so the final proposal confirms realistic timing.
Day 5: Tekes, Kurdining Valley and Nalati
Visit the grassland-and-spruce landscape of Kurdining before continuing to the Nalati area. Scenic-area access and the amount of walking depend on current ticketing and transport arrangements; no domestic self-drive assumption is made.
Day 6: Nalati Grassland
Spend the day in the Nalati area with the operating scenic shuttle, cableway or accessible viewpoint plan confirmed for the group. Horse riding and other local activities remain optional and are never required.
Day 7: Tangbula, the Duku corridor or an alternative route to Urumqi
Use the Tangbula and Duku Highway corridor only when it is open and suitable for the day. If conditions require it, travel by the agreed alternative highway route; the final travel time may be longer but safety takes priority.
Day 8: Depart Urumqi
Transfer to the airport or railway station after your departure details are reconfirmed. Leave a generous buffer for airport procedures and traffic.
